Having a private party over here to celebrate my new low. Want to join me? Grab your granola and pull up a couch cushion. What are your victories today?

I hit 129.5 yesterday, and decided it was time to actually have my wedding ring sized smaller, since it's been looping around my finger like a hoolahoop for a while now. Dropping it off at the jeweler was weird - in my head I was telling myself, "it's ok, if you gain the weight back you can just get it resized larger." Then,I yelled back at that person, silently of course, "None of that talk! This is the real deal now." This is the way I want to keep living.

Would love to know what you guys are cheering about too!

Lynne

Well said, Jen. I hope I didn't offend anyone with my comments. I'm a puny 5'3", and according to things I've read, I'm still over weight! But, not to me.

Congrats!! What a great achievement!

I have to keep a proper perspective b/c I would be "model w/an eating disorder" thin if I were in the 120's at 5'9"!!Smiler

I haven't seen much change on the scales (yet) but I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks AND I can fit into some size 12's that I couldn't wear a month ago. Big Grin I was especially happy to get back into a pair of Ann Taylor pants! Anything that costs that much is something I want to wear until it falls apart (which had better be a long time!)

I did really well with exercise last week too! This week will be a struggle b/c of lots of meetings and "stuff" going on, but I really want to get to the gym at least 3 times and then work on my yard over the weekend for some more exercise.

Congrats to everybody. I am hoping that one day soon I will be able to post a similar message. I am well on my way to acheiving my first goal.

Enjoy every minute!

Jennifer

Goals for April: Exercise 3 times a week. Drink more water everyday.

Long Term Goal: Weigh-in at 180 lbs by my next Birthday. (Sept-13/06)

Lynne,
Congrats! That is awesome.

For the past week I have been feeling calm about food- nto wanting to overeat and generally accepting my food plan. I love it when this happens. I have also been on a great roll with exercise.

Congrats everyone!

I hit my all-time high weight (since the weight loss more than a year ago) the other day and it absolutely freaked me out. I know that part of it was that I missed taking my fluid pill twice in one week and also ate way too many salty foods in that week. Still, I was relieved this morning when my weight was back down more into the area where I've been hanging out the past few months.

I'm also celebrating my newly-clean walk-in closet (see Group Journal for more).

Personal Healthy Habits Challenge - 10/1 to 12/31/08:
1. Exercise: Get back to consistently working out 3-5 X week.
2. Food: Get back to consistently preparing healthy lunches for the week with increased veg servings.
3. Behavior: Reduce intake of sweets.

Congrats Lynne!

My accomplishment yesterday was easily being able to speed squat with the heavy chains. Usually I struggle to lift those heavy chains so it felt nice to do it with so little effort.

Well, even with my pms bloat, I'm fitting into size 12. Last night, I was able to pull the pants I wear for work right off over my hips. (These are pants I bought last fall).
