Good job!
I, too, like the sweet then the salty. One thing that I have found that works is sprinkling crushed up pretzels on the ice cream with a bit of chocolate sauce. It sounds weird, but it's really good, sort of a chocolate covered pretzel sundae. Mmmmm...
