Valhalla is a really great new health club in the area. I would love to win 8 weeks of personal training etc.!!! I'm sure they will get thousands of entries, but keep your fingers crossed for me!! It was so hard to write, in 100 words or less, why I wanted to be a contestant. There was some pretty personal stuff in there-I think that could go either way in the decision making process but I am pretty excited!!
This might sound ridiculous, but when the alarm goes off at 6AM, I am never awake (even through my insomnia days-oh, and I'll have to bring you up to speed on that) and barely hear what they are saying on the radio. Well, on Wednesday morning I heard them talking about the Summer Slim Down and when I actually did wake up, I thought-did I dream that? I remembered everything they said, about the 5 contestants, 8 wks training, free yr membership, etc. So, I went online and there was the contest. I felt compelled to enter.

Summer Challenge Goals: 1) Walk 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week 2) Plan weekly menus
They are calling the 5 winning contestants this friday 7/25. Keep your fingers crossed for me (a few prayers might not be too bad either)!! I keep re-reading my entry and thinking "Oh, I didn't write this or that", "I didn't write my height/weight (duh)", "it was too many words", etc. I really, really want to do this! I'll keep you posted!

Goals: 1. Stop thinking like a chronic dieter and start living to inspire. 2. HALT (hungry, anxious, lonely, tired) I will stop and tune in with myself should I experience these things, and respond with something healthy. 3. One word 2008: courage 4. Eat slow and mindfully.
