Well, I've been stressed. I decided to do something for myself, but had a meltdown when my haircut yesterday didn't come out as what I was expecting. And I've been under stress with the new house stuff...had some emotional feelings of "I'm so fat and I look horrid!"... today I took the time and had a massage, I did some window shopping for the house...and bought some new panties!

The homework is to give yourself a break. Buy yourself something nice...take a bath with a magazine by candlelight...have your sweetie run you with scented oil... do something where you can feel good about yourself!

Take some you time. Listen to music, put on a sexy negligee and curl up with a glass of wine...

I'm going to be pampering myself on Saturday afternoon and evening. From 2-4 I'm going to a Spa party, and then Sat. night, my DH is taking me out to dinner to celebrate my new job.

We just got back from a jazz concert with all the musicians in town. My youngest is in the band, it was a very good concert, even though I don't like jazz. I understand the "high stress" thing, I am there and on the verge of a melt down. It's something I've learned to recognize in myself. SO.....I am taking the weekend off. If it's not something I WANT to do, it will have to wait. Tomorrow, I will color my hair that beautiful brown/red color I've been looking for and then who knows. Maybe lunch with my best friend and my journal.

I'm taking a little time right now to read a book, a luxury I miss and rarely get the opportunity to actually perform. I just happened to see that I forgot to turn off the computer as I was checking the thermostat, and decided to see if there was anything new on the board. So, back to the book...

DH and I have both been in high-work-stress mode, so I think tonight we'll just unplug and make "us" plans for the weekend. Relaxing just to think about it...
