Finally, what would I do without a computer genuis in the house????

Anyway, we walked about 238 miles give or take some kilometers. We started at the southern tip in Waterville and make it past Limmerick and through the central part of Ireland. WE find ourselves in the fair city of Mullaghanattin in Kerry. Interesting to me. I will post tomorrow some info on the area and a link for you to check out.

Keep walking this week. I know our weather has been good....wish those pesky mosquitos would die out....but all in all we are having a rather pleasant summer, wait till school starts! Frowner The kids will swelter!!!!

Everyone is invited to take the challenge of walking, swimming, jogging, running, biking, etc the European continent with us. Thank you for sharing the interesting photos and stories and recipes. Haven't made my soda bread yet, but it's in my baking file waiting for cooler weather.

See you next Monday.
Cathy

It would require volunteers to donate fun facts about the areas we cover. That said, it might be fun to go through small towns USA - the ones we live in Smiler

Sounds like a fantastic idea KD!

I have so many pictures of Ireland, but I had them all developed before the days of the Kodak CDs and digital cameras. (Geez and it has only been 7 years since I was there.)

I thought I would share one typical Irish breakfast w/everyone, that I thought was strange when I first arrived, but tried and it actually isn't bad...Beans on Toast. Yes, baked beans on toast is offered in almost every B&B we stayed in. I would actually order that or porridge (oatmeal), about everyday, because those were the only low-fat breakfasts available. Everything else was eggs, bacon, sausage and the like, very heavy and full of fat.
