In the morning I get to drink a lovely Barium(sp?) cocktail for breakfast at 7:30am in prep for a CT scan. I have however over the years learned how to get it down without much of it touching the tastebuds on my tongue . I use a really long straw and put the end of the straw as far back in my mouth as I can without gaging. It makes it a little difficult to get much suction going but it does work.
It is just a once a year check-up. I will get the results next week when I see the doctor. I only see him about every 3 or 4 months now and only have blood tests done every 60 days instead of once a month because of the stability of the numbers. The numbers are still low but they don't change much and when they do change ever so slightly it is in an upward direction .

Good luck with "breakfast" I've been there done that for ulcers and I used the same trick. Three quarts of the stuff, our tech put chocolate flavoring in it describing the drink as a chocolate shake, no way! To make the matters worse, the doc doing my test didn't get what he wanted and I had to go back again. Thought I would die.....couldn't have even a "fake" shake for months after that.
You'll be glad you did it when it's all over, my best of luck to you!
It's never too late to get it right.

Well, I had no problems getting the stuff down this morning and they did not ask me to drink more when I got there like they usually do.
I will get the results from the test when I see the doctor next tuesday. I am not expecting any big news from it. This is just something I will have to do once a year for the rest of my life just to be sure it is not creeping back in again.
