Here is a link to an interesting Holiday Game Plan article on their home page today.

At the bottom of the article are 3 links - if you plan to lose over the holidays, if you plan to maintain and if your plan is to gain a little and lose it in January (which actually surprised me last year... that WW acknowledges that IS some peoples' plan... and whatever works for you.)

My plan is to maintain and be at this weight next Jan 7th. What is your plan? Smiler

My plan is status quo, I will keep track of my points every day, as I always do, plan to use my flex points on thanksgiving and Christmas (or whenever our meal is) and then keep exercising. I would love to be able to say confidently that I'll show a loss....but that's not my body. So I will be pleased and happy if I maintain the week after the holiday, the same weight I was the week before.

Happy ones to all.

It's never too late to get it right.

My plan is to lose weight over the holiday season. It is a good personal challenge for me...I've done it before over the holidays and I love saying that I have!!!

Went to WW this morning and we came up with a game plan for Thanksgiving and I know I can do it!

Kat

Goal:
Exercise at least 3 times per week.

Remember the positives.

Get the munchies under control!

Great article Denise - thanks for sharing!

I plan to continue losing this holiday season as my goal is to be back into maintenance by January 1st.

The postive attitude that was talked about in the "losing plan" has been really key for me. I'm not nervous or apprehensive about going out to eat tonight or going to our neighbors party because I have a well thought out game plan and the focus isn't on the food for me at all.

Dh's dad will be with us all of next week and usually that would make me nervous but I'm just going to cook the same as always and stay on plan. I'm not anticipating any lapses on Thanksgiving because again, I'm focused on spending time with family and visiting.

My one planned for splurge is keeping me going too - I know that I'll enjoy it more knowing that I've been on plan this whole time and not fighting with weight creepage. It also helps that the bottoms of the outfit that I bought were too tight and now they are very comfortable. I don't want to go through an entire evening with my pants feeling like they are constricting me!

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
