Tomorrow is the big recital! This is my very first dance recital-at the fine age of 39!! I was not nervous at all, until tonight. We had stage rehearsal, and being on that stage imagining hundreds of eyes watching terrifies me. In our hip-hop class there are only 3 of us so that is quite nerve-wracking! Tap, there are a lot more so I feel less stressed. My dd has been dancing for many years and tells me it goes so fast that it will be over before I know it. We all did great tonight at rehearsal, let's hope tomorrow is the same. I'm hoping to get pictures tomorrow in our costumes and will post them here when I figure out how to do it.

Wish me luck-please, and a few prayers wouldn't hurt either Big Grin

Good job Jill! I'm with Brie...when my nieces used to dance I was always totally envious of the adults that danced in the studio! You rock!

Recital-OVER!! It was SO much fun. I was sooo nervous for the 2:00 show, 6:00 show was much less nervous. We all did great-kids and adults. I can't wait for next year! Thanks for all the good wishes. One of the ladies is emailing out pictures so if I have some good ones I'll post here!

You'll be great! I've found that when I just focus on my "training", I forget people are watching.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

Best of luck! We have some adults at my daughters studio and I can honestly say that all the moms in the audience are always wicked impressed! Enjoy it!

Good Luck Jill. I am sure you will be awesome.

I have danced at the State Fair and assorted other locations with my bellydancing group and surprisingly, I am generally not nervous at all. Given that any other public display, speaking or otherwise makes me want to hork, I find this to be strange.
