I have a problem. My lunch and snack ended up being more filling than I thought. I had egg drop soup and sushi for lunch and then my usual snack of granola and fruit (although I had less than usual because I wasn't that hungry).

A little while ago, I had 1/4 c of dd's left over fried rice and now I'm feeling very full.

Ordinarily on Wednesdays I eat dinner at 5 pm as I have band rehearsal but I don't think I will be remotely hungry in an hour.

However, if I wait to eat until after band, I will be STARVING and probably will end up overeating. Plus, I don't do well eating at 9 pm.

I'm not sure what to do. I'm leaning towards just having something very light right before I leave and then having some fruit when I come home. I just worry that I'll end up coming home overly hungry.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

PS I really have found my "full button" and I like it! : )

I can honestly say that this is a new feeling for me and I like it!

PS DD just gave me a nibble of her brownie (my very favorites). Instead of eating it since I'm still feeling full, I put it on a napkin and am saving that one bite for later for when I feel hungry. : )

I'd eat light before so that you're not starving and light after if you're hungry again.

Divide the food up calorie wise that you'd have in one dinner if you were home.

Thanks for the input! I feel like now that I re-discovered the "full button" that I don't want to over ride it.

However in this case, I think it will be for the best otherwise later tonight will be a disaster.

I had the most amazing workout this morning and don't want to undo all the hard work. (I used a weight vest in addition to kettle bells for my entire workout plus did squats & lunges on top of a bosu ball and push ups and planks on bongo board which was all new to me.)

I'd eat before too. Even if you are not hungry, I'd eat. Sounds like you'd be over hungry after band if you skip part or all of the meal.

You'll eat at 5, brush your teeth, go to band and know that food is OVER for the day.

For me, eating earlier (more devensive as Denise says) always works better than waiting.

I have to eat like that all the time before work. If I wait until after work, I'll be starving and make poor choices. And I can't eat during work... so I eat before work, even though I'm not all that hungry.

Sometimes schedules interfer with the full button thing. Smiler

I'd eat before band.

One of the suggestions in those articles was "Eat Defensively".

I'd eat... since you can't eat during band. Smiler
