Iz, I was thinking of you this am when I was fixing breakfast. Dh and I were up really early and as I was making us a cheese omelette and garlic-sautéed spinach (something I might normally have for lunch) I remembered you saying you never ate breakfast food. Brought a smile to my face.

going ok so far. it is a challenge not to let myself go hungry for too long. if i start the dinner hour really super hungry, i tend to snack more.
i was thinking on monday, how nice it is NOT to have that monday-morning guilt fest after a weekend of bad eating. my weekends are getting better and better. makes for a nice monday morning.

wednesday's challenge was my desire for something sweet. i tend to be this way when i am overly tired. so i had some chocolate and that did the trick. luckily, i slept really well.
thursday--started with 70 minutes of cardio, little bit of weights, and hot coffee! i have a busy day so it should be no problem staying on track.

I've been really tired and I'm struggling with this eating business. I just want to hide under the covers and avoid all my chores and duties. I have plenty of access to sweets too. Ick.

tuesday was good. it was a very busy day, but i would say the challenge was feeling hungry. i had a clean food day, and i did a lot of cardio that morning.
tuesday--did not sleep so well, so i stayed in bed wednesday morning--skipped the gym. will try to stay on track with food today. i find when i am tired, my hunger signals are all off, and i want sweet stuff. so i will see how it goes today. i did put on a pair of pants this morning that feel more loose.

My challenges are the same as ever: try to get healthier, mind my digestion, find joy and peace and get on with what I'm supposed to be doing... and I struggle with all of that.

One of my goals for the New Year is to be better at planning meals and sticking to it. The first two weeks of January went o.k., but it kind of went downhill after that... Playoff games, out of town guests for a week, meals out, and generally being off my schedule. I have also been slacking in the exercise department.
This is my month to get back on track. I turn 39 tomorrow! For real, not pretend 39, that's next year. I am no where near where I thought I would be at this stage in my life. And it's kind of freaking me out a bit. So it's time to get with the program.
Since we blew the budget last weekend with two expensive meals out, birthday dinner will be homemade gnocchi with a lower fat parmesan sauce and a salad with a new buttermilk dressing I have been wanting to try. There will be cake, but not too much.
I will post the rest of my menu plan in a new folder in case any one wants to join in.
I have made it to both of my exercise classes so far this week. 2 more to go.
We are just back from a great vacation in Mexico. My weight is up, I am sure. My goal for February is to stick to my food plan, write it daily and to follow it daily. My exercise is good- I seem to have a pretty consistent routine. It's sticking to the food without extras here or there that becomes an issue for me.
well, we have been snowed in since friday. i am going a bit apeshit because i like to get out. and the hosue is cold. it is like the heater is working overtime and just cannot maintain heat in the house when it gets this cold. i finally got out a bit yesterday because hubby drove me around. and this morning, he drove me to the gym and picked me up. it is so nice to get out and see people and chat. so so nice. the news has already advised that tomorrow, schools are closed again. i do have to go to my office--i have a busy day that includes a jail visit. i am glad i got in that extra workout on friday because i was stuck at home saturday. i got an hour in on the elliptical on sunday, and i got a 70 min workout this morning with weights and plyometrix.good stuff! ok...challenges--i would say boredom.
