Saturday: Walked around my complex, to the drug store, from the drug store to the grocery store, back to the complex with a full (though small) backpack, around the complex and home - about an hour. Not at the intensity of my usual powerwalk (no big hill and I wasn't walking super fast), but it was a nice way to combine exercise with my need to pick up a prescription and a few groceries.

I was down on myself this week because I didn't get any exercise on the weekdays this week. When my brain says "you're a failure," I have to remind myself that I have an injury and am working my way back to exercising regularly.

Before the new year, I set a goal for January of 3 days of exercise per week vs. my usual 5 until I am through physical therapy and feeling better pain-and-mobility-wise. Since I exercised Monday and today, I just need to get some activity in tomorrow to meet my goal.

When you are used to getting up almost every morning to work out, it is hard to adapt to 2 or 3 times a week feeling "right" or "normal." At least for me.

Rest of Summer Goals:
1. Exercise-Cardio: Min. 2-3 walking or DVD cardio workouts per week.
2. Exercise-Weights/Toning: Min. 1 weight plus 1 toning workout per week.
3. Food: Get those veggie servings back up to where they were!
4. Behavior: Start reducing sweets now that the automatic after-meal response is better.

I have to cut down...i have a heart problem and have wanted so badly to do more and get in the best shape 'possible' but totally overdid it w/ my competitive nature and my little 'club' I formed.... so I'm moving my goals from miles to minutes. Plan to exercise (walk mostly) 4 times 30 min each this week. My mom sent me a pedometer in the mail and once that comes I'm going to see where I am at for a day and try to increase it.
