That's awesome news for moms that don't want to feed their kids all that sugar....and it's fun for kids...I think it's a great idea..about time. We had them in our house when I was a kid. I was the honeycomb girl..my brother was the alpha-bits guy...what great memories. Dad had cornflakes... but we liked flavour (mainly sugar when you're a kid huh?). I gotta go buy some just for old times sake .

I had alpha bits as a kid... I never really liked them. They always went stale after they were opened more than a day it seemed.

I think Cheerios and Alpha-Bits are both General Mills cereals. I am not sure why they would have such similar marketing strategies. I don't remember Alpha-Bits having a lot of sugar when I was a kid. We just always had Cheerios instead, because when we had ABs, we'd want to spell words instead of just eating our breakfast.
