We are signing a lease tonight for dd to get a one bedroom apartment (don't have to deal with roommates ). I will be staying there to help her organize and get settled until at least Sunday. She has not signed up for internet service anywhere yet. The apartment is wired for high speed internet but we haven't decided if we want a cable connection (thru Comcast) or if we want to use the high speed line for something like Earthlink or one of the others. We do not want AOL or a dial-up service. I will not be leaving until around 7am EDT on Wednesday morning so if anyone has any suggestions let me know.
I am going to really miss the morning chat sessions ,but after everything is sorted out I will be able to participate in more of the afternoon chats

Hi, I have really missed the board this past week and the flychats. We have been moving boxes and boxes and opening them all week. Sunday my sister and bil came with their big truck and moved the furniture for us. I will still be at the apartment this coming week to unpack boxes of stuff to be put in the furniture. Just getting a few more things from the house and checking the board.
I have mapped out a walking route at the apartment that is 2/10 of a mile and have been walking every morning before it gets hot.

Nope. She graduated from Brenau University in Gainesville Georgia (hence BrenauMom ) in December 2004.
She is moving into her own place in Norcross (actually Peachtree Corners). Just one mile from work instead of 10 miles. 1/2 mile from Publix and CVS and 2 gas stations. 3 miles from the Forum on Peachtree Parkway at Medlock Bridge. I will keep living with my parents but will be at her apartment some weekends but not all. We do a lot of things together on weekends. I don't think she fully realizes yet just how much of her purchasing power for goodies she is giving up by moving out but I am glad to have her in her own "home". She has been at college (but just 1 hour away) most of the time since I have been sick. She had an on campus apartment the last two years and I spent some weekends there so we are accustomed to this arrangement.
We hope to host a CT/KD pot luck for the Atlanta crowd (& anyone else who can make it ) sometime this fall.

Congrats to your dd! Does that mean that she'll be living on her own and you'll be staying with your mom? How do you feel about the change?
As for cable and such - we have a bundled package with our cable TV and broadband with our local cable company. It's been fantastic and their service has been great.
