Last night I ate 4 Hershey kisses. I knew it had to stop.

I told dd she needed to pick out her best candies. She did.

I chopped up the rest of the chocolate and made oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies for a party at her school next week.

I am so relieved. I hadn't realized how much the container of chocolate was stressing me out.
I don't want or need that kind of stress. So I made a change.

I hate to waste food. I know that Hershey's milk chocolate barely qualifies as food, but I felt I needed to put it to use. Now the chocolate is part of something pretty healhty and I am not tempted. And I won't have to make a class treat next week.

So...how are things in your home? At work? Easter candy stresssing you out?

Almost anything worth eating is gone and frankly, what's left that is "good" isn't calling. I have a feeling that the rest of what's there will get thrown out because no one will eat it and we'll find it in June or something ; )

There are many things about having kids grow up that are good and bad.

As much as I miss them tremendously, I don't have to think about Easter basket candy...and that is a blessing.

BUT, yesterday I went to get my hair cut, and at the front desk they have a huge Easter Basket with chocolate in it. I hadn't eaten yet for lunch, oh how tempting. But I know me, once I start, I'd be stopping at the market on the way home for more for my house. So I didn't. I was proud of me!!!! And my haircut looks so much more slimming without that Hershey's kiss on my back side.

It's never too late to get it right.

We have 6 bags of chocolate kisses of different flavors in the pantry that we got as one of our local grocery stores was closing on Sunday (they were selling them for .50 per bag). Anyhow, they are behind closed doors....out of sight, out of mind. I have eaten 2 truffles this week, but nothing out of control.

Blessings,

Lori

The kids ate their candy and I ate mine. There's still chocolate in the fridge but thankfully I don't like it enough to eat it and after a while I'll take it to work and that'll be the end of it.

Same here, no candy or anything tempting in our house.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

No Easter candy was bought, no Easter candy was eaten, no problem.
