We all know that positve begets postive. This weekend think of something postive about yourself and how it helps in this journey. Your postive qualities can be rallied in your efforts for weight loss and good health. Acknowledge this quality to your self and/or post it here so we can all learn for you!
Here's mine: I am organized and efficient. This helps me plan meals, exercise times and to execute plans well.
This helps me in planning meals, grocery shopping and food journalling.
I am determined and self-competitive.
This helps me in my exercising, when I feel like quitting, and also helps me to challenge myself to go to higher levels of exertion.
I am a very routinized person.
This can be both a positive and a negative, but the positive is that, once I've built a new habit (exercising in the morning, bringing my lunch to work, etc.), I will tend to stay in the habit simply out of momentum and routine.

Ok, it also took me way too long to figure this one out. Have to work on that. Anyway, it dawned on me as I was reading KD's book I got from the library.
I know how to cook and enjoy it. That will make it easier for me to experiment and have good variety in my cuisine as I continue on this journey.
These help because I'm able to learn & retain a lot of knowledge about weight loss & health, and because I'm unafraid to try new and different things in the kitchen.
(Okay, the fact that it took me almost 24 hours to come up with something is obviously an issue I hadn't addressed in a while, thank you for posting this, Sandy, you've given me a lot to think about)

Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.
I'm a very supportive and loving wife, mother and friend. I really try to be there for anyone who needs me. I also like to be good to myself too. That is why I am working on becoming more healthy and setting a good example for my little boy.
I am a very likable person. Most people say I have a beautiful personality. I think it's because I think you never know when you "will go" and for this reason I don't waste my time on petty things. I try to make the best of everything.
If only now I can match the way I see myself physically to my general mental philosophy about life I will be fine. I will say this though: For the first time in my horrible life I am happy both in my love life and my career.
I don't have a "Type A" personality. I'm pretty easy going.
I am not "driven" to see the scale move. This has helped me see progress in other areas when the scale stops moving. I cope with a plateau when it happens from time to time pretty well.

I, too, am determined and organized. I think both of these help me make this work for me. I am NOT giving up this time, I think that would be giving up on me. It takes organization to run my life and and my family's...so meals are a challenge sometimes. I also think one of my positives is my sense of humor, cause let's face it, when the recipe doesn't turn out and all you have is PBJ in the house you gotta smile.
It's never too late to get it right.

I am determined, and very disciplined when something matters. That is helping me to be very, very good and stick to my eating plan, especially when it would be so easy to quit...then I remember my motivation and keep going.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
