I don't know if I turned anyone else onto Kashi Seven in the Morning cereal but I just figured out they changed the name of it (how did I live before the internet?!). It's now called Kashi Nuggets and it's in a new box. I was getting worried because I checked 3 stores lately and couldn't find it but I'm almost sure I saw this new stuff in one of them. Phew...I was going to be saaaaad if they pulled them off the market.
On a related note, if you are a granola bar fan, they have chewy granola bars that aren't too crazy nutrition wise and they are yummy too.
Random: I read in the Nurition Action Health Letter that Kelloggs bought Kashi several years ago. Who knew??
I saw that this month too....I was surprised too. Sort of disappointed in a way because I thought I was supporting some little health concious company but I suppose supporting a major US corporation doing something right in the health arena is equally valuable.

I've been living on the Kashi protein bars while working at CP. I keep them in my back pack, and if I really need a snack, I take a bathroom break and eat one. (Yeah, I know...but when you only get 1 45 min. lunch break and 1 30 min. food break in a 15 hour day, ya gotta make do... )
I suspect that after this weekend, it's gonna be quite a while before I eat another one, though.
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

I keep several Kashi bars on hand for those times when I am leaving the gym and doing errands and know I will be ravenous if I don't have SOMETHING to eat. Usually, a few bites is adequate to hold of hunger pangs. I rarely eat them but I do always keep 2 or 3 around. I also throw 1 or 2 in my luggage when I go on vacation so I have some alternative for when I'm starving and the people I'm with aren't ready to go eat yet, etc.
I like the GoLean bars too. I have not had them for a year or two. I used to eat them when I was really crunched for time as a breakfast with some fruit or hot tea. I found that they were the best at holding he until lunch. (I am eating lots of oatmeal lately- better for calories and far less expensive.)
