I wondered if Kathleen is putting out a 2007 daybook - I have not seen one. I realize the one from last year was not dated so it could be good every year, but mine is almost full and I am thinking of whether I need a new one. I would like a fresh format to keep me sharp. Which leads me to my next question: when do you know you're ready to stop food-journaling?

Lynne, I don't think a new book is in the offing, BUT, you could take your old one and use the information in it and a notebook or journal to use for 2007. I like most of the people responding use a regular notebook to record my eating habits, pts, moods, recipes, thoughts. It's just something I have always done. Keeps me focused on my eating and what is really important.
I have an offer for you, if you'd like, I'll PM you with the idea.
It's never too late to get it right.

Lynne: If you want to try a new format, I used the Thin for Life Daybook for two years before KD's Daybook came out, and I liked it very much.
I have journalled food for most of the last 3 1/2 years. However, with this past 6 months being so insane at work, I have fallen off on journalling. I still weigh myself daily and note my weight and exercise in the journal, so I'm still using it, but I'm not journalling food and I need to get back to that.

I have kept a food journal (on and off, but mostly on) for over 5 years. I enjoy the process and it keeps me focused and helps me stay in maint. mode. We never graduate. Maintenance looks a whole lot like loss mode.
