If so, is the final 4 who you wanted?

If not, what would have been your dream final 4?

Who do you want to win?

Who do you think WILL win?

Is Stefan the contestant you love to hate or just hate, period? Smiler

It's an excellent show, Iz (as reality shows go, anyway) and even better if you enjoy cooking because you get to see all kinds of stuff going on in the kitchen. Granted, most of what they do on Top Chef is beyond my taste, budget or cooking abilities, but it is still interesting to watch.

I have watched every season since the beginning. The host they have had for the past few seasons--Padma Lashki--is I think the best of the hosts they've had. The earlier seasons were good contestant-wise but not host-wise. You also get to see all the greats of the restaurant world, as they rotate in to serve as guest judge each week.

While I agree to an extent about the way Stefan has been edited, he along with everybody else GAVE the editors stuff to work with. I don't think that the way he's been edited is too far from the real Stefan. Ditto Hosea, and everybody else.

I knew who won before the episode aired (I knew where to look Wink ). I almost didn't want to watch. It was uncomfortable to watch Hosea and his confessionals, but immediately thought Stefan would have done the exact same thing had he gotten to assign the alligator.

I'm hoping that next year will be more interesting.

Well, the finale is over...on one hand, I'm happy because the one person I really DIDN'T want to win didn't win. On the other hand, the person I really DID want to win didn't either. I wasn't that enthused about the result.

I didn't think this finale was nearly as exciting as some have been.

We LOVE Top Chef....just started watching last season when they were in Chicago (didn't even know that the show existed until a "local boy" was selected to be on the show....Ryan Scott). We have enjoyed this season much more than last mainly because the language has been MUCH better! Anyhow, I am going to answer Sheri's questions before I read anyone else's responses.....oh, and I haven't watched last night's episode yet, so I may wait to read everyone's responses just in case someone has a spoiler Smiler

No, I really thought that it should have been Fabio, Carla, Jeff & Stefan.

If not, what would have been your dream final 4?

See #1 Smiler

Who do you want to win?

Even though she hasn't been my favorite chef, I would LOVE to see Carla win it! She has really come from behind, and is finally starting to really shine as a chef.

Who do you think WILL win?

Probably Stefan, because even though from the editing and comments it seems as though he should have been gone already, I think that he really probably IS the best one left....wish it could have been Fabio there though

Is Stefan the contestant you love to hate or just hate, period?

You know, I have really had mixed feelings about Stefan all the way through. Some aspects of his cockiness I think are ok, but lately he's become and expert on everything, and is just really getting on my nerves.....but again, I have a feeling that it is editing showing us the worst of him.

Blessings,

Lori

It could be the editing, but I notice that almost every other chef looks right at the judges when the judges are speaking to them, even when it's criticism...but when the judges are giving Stefan criticism, he averts his eyes. I wonder if he is really so arrogant as he seems, or if it is an act...sometimes, people who APPEAR really arrogant are actually very insecure...when he averted his eyes like that, it made me wonder.

Being arrogant seems to be quite a prevalent character trait among many chefs (not KD Big Grin). So many of the contestants on Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen seem so full of themselves and I feel they honestly believe in their minds they are THE best there is.

I have not been a Carla fan, ever. I don't know why. I am thinking that she comes off as being so timid and that bothers me. Maybe a nice balance of Stefan/Carla mixed? She needs some of his arrogance and he needs some of her timidness.

I have to say that it was pretty sweet to see Stefan in the bottom two. It was way past time for him to get taken down a notch or two.

I liked Jamie-she was a little on the rough side but I liked that she didn't take crap from anybody. Carla is the nice one but I have to say I'm surprised she is still on. Stefan can be a jerk but I think, from what I remember is a darn good chef. I liked Jeff too, sad to hear he was voted off.

Fabio got kicked out right at the last minute. Poor Fabio. I liked him. Jeff got an chance to get back in the mix after he'd been eliminated--he had to beat Jamie and Leah in a quickfire and he did. But in order to go to the finale in New Orleans, he would have to win the elimination challenge as well, and he didn't.

So the finale is Stefan, Carla and Hosea.

Sorry for my gaffe about the final 4--that should have been final 3, since only the final 3 go to the finale in New Orleans.

GO CARLA!!!!!!!

Please don't let Stephan win. His ego is already as big as Texas.

Hosea, Carla, and Stefan.

My vote is Carla. I don't really like either of the other two.

I'm going to have to start doing homework after it's over for this season. Razzer
