I feel really really really good that I have FINALLY kicked the Diet Coke habit! It has been just over 5 weeks since I had a diet coke on a regular basis. I have had to choose one maybe 3 times over that time frame due to water not being available and this was the best choice I could make. The good news about making that choice is when I have had them I only needed a sip or two to get me through until I could get my hands on a glass of water! I am also still just under the 280 lb mark at 279.5! This is 10lbs down for more than two weeks! Now that I have completed that I have set my next goal at being below 270 lbs.(Size 26). I need to raise the bar to really kick in with exercising 5-6 days a week. The weather is breaking and as soon as my heel heals I will be back to walking. My goal is to walk in the morning so I don't have any excuses in the afternoon/evening to put it off. Then I can always do some strength training or stretches in the afternoon. I just need to spend more time prepping and learning to cook!
I just learned over the weekend my life may be changing a lot over the next year. My husband may be offered to go home and work for his family while he finishes school. This is difficult for me because I am very close to my family, especially my nieces. I am not looking forward to moving to New Mexico when I live in a beautiful State now. Plus he wants to start a family and I turn 40 in July. Life definately keeps me moving somehow!
Have a great week everyone. Beth

Good job on kicking the Diet Coke habit. I have mostly kicked the regular Coke habit, but still have it from time to time. I know it is a really hard habit to break.
It sounds like you are off to a great start. Keep it up!

Beth, I found your story of kicking diet coke and losing 10 lbs very motivating! Just keep plugging away and adding baby steps and tackling it 5 or 10 lbs at a time. Then just keep babystepping to keep it off.
Keep us posted as you go through all the changes in the next few months!
Good luck!

Beth, Great job with the weight loss and the diet coke kick! I am looking at loads of changes coming up over the next 6 months too- a new job and a shift in our household when dh retires. It is important that I stay in each day and do all that I can to make good choices today. I need to eat lunch today and to make sure that I get all my cardio in today. If I take care of myself now, the months down the road will come together for me.
