This week, we're going on a treasure hunt. Of the food kind.
What's in those cupboards that you wouldn't want KD, any of us on the boards, or those cameras hidden in the kitchen to see????
It's time to expose their evil siren song and get rid of them. Temptation usually only leads to trouble.
To counter the temptations, do a little bit of planning. Take a recipe that you love, make a double batch, and freeze the leftovers (my MIL calls them planned-overs) for rescue at a later date when you need a meal in a hurry.
Then, give yourself a huge pat on the back for putting yourself above your food temptations.
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
The things in my cabinets that shouldn't be there are club crackers and cake mix. The crackers are a trigger food - I can't eat just a few. The cake mix has trans fat. I am going to donate it (and anything else with trans fat) to a food drive. My new rule is not to buy anything with trans fat.

In our freezer right now are 3 or 4 boxes of Edy's Dibs, 3 or 4 half gallon tubs of Bryers Ice Cream, 1 or 2 boxes of Klondyke Ice Bars and 1 or 2 boxes of Klondyke Ice Cream Sandwiches.
I am not certain about the numbers because they are not mine and I rarely eat them. In spite of the fact that mother is constantly reminding me that "there is plenty of ice cream in the freezer". They were bought by my parents (most of them are mother's). I will eat the Dibs (26 pieces per serving) but I only have 2 or 3 pieces at a time. Usually for "desert".
Before I got sick I was snacking all the time. I guess the cancer, chemo and bone marrow transplant killed off my snacking genes
The only things in my cupboard that I'd not want KD or anyone else here to see are the cheesecurls, which are not mine (hubby got them) and I don't like anyway; and the giant bag of almond m&m's, but those get portioned out to no more than 3 or 4 pieces after any meal.
And, I practice the "cook once eat multiple times" trick as much as I can, since I know Fridays are a major day where I don't want to cook at night.
