I wanted to give an update on what's going on with me and dh. I went to the gym both Sunday and Monday (actually, Saturday, too!). On Monday, I finally got the nerve to do one of the "circuits" on the elliptical machine. I did the weight loss circuit. It was hard for me, but I got through the whole 30mins and I wasn't as sore the next day as I thought I would be! I took yesterday off.

Here's the best part - my dh suggested we go to the gym tonight, too!! This is the FIRST time he has ever suggested it! As some of you may know from the board, he was just diagnosed with diabetes and is trying to make a bunch of changes. Hopefully this will stick, but just to give you an idea, we joined the gym in June and he has been there exactly 3 times since (two of which were with me in the past 2 weeks).

We are logging his food on fitday to see where his nutrition is and compare meals/days to his blood sugar levels (checking with his vampire machine 2-3 times daily). We found a diabetes education center near our home and have an appointment for next week with a dietitian/diabetes educator.

He is into the goal of the dive marathon weekend in July (my goal for the Dateline Weight Loss Challenge), so I think that is helping. We are doing money rewards to save money for the diving ($2 for each day of exercise, $1 for each day within nutrition guidelines). He lost 4lbs last week (I lost 3).....
