Hey Brie,
Was wondering what sort of thoughts you were currently having re: your half marathon. I know you wanted to take some time to think about it while on your trip so I was wondering what came of that if you are up to sharing.

My current plan is to take a full week off from any high impact activities. If that doesn't help, I'll be making a dr's appt for sure.

Just an observation- hope that is ok.

I definitely enjoy lifting more. I do the cardio because I know that it's good for me : )
I did enjoy my first run in Chicago on the lake front though. I would certainly have gone on a longer run but the pain became unmanageable and I certainly don't want to do any permanent damage.

Brie,
I was thinking about you while on my walk this morning. (Funny that I have never met so many of you, but you are in my thoughts.)

Our bodies sometimes make the decisions for us don't they? Hope your ankle is much, much better soon!

I'm having problems right now with my right achilles tendon - lots of pain even when I'm not using it. I was only able to manage two 5K runs while we were away because of the pain.

So, I'm going to take a full week off from running and re-assess my ankle. If it continues to flare up, I'm definitely not going to run the 1/2 and just do the relay.
