I though being "lazy" for eight weeks after surgery would be fun. Who was I kidding? I got permission to go back to sensible exercise beginning Thursday. I still have stitches from the breast reduction; the foot surgery is a done deal, and looks great. I can walk, ride the stationary bike and lift very light weights. Not my usual regimen, but I'll take it.

I'm out of shape, but happy to say that I did not put on any weight in eight wekks. I have the board and all of you to thank for that!!!!

Congrats!!!! Great job healing!

My sister (who has been at her goal weight since 2001) had neck surgery this fall and could not exercise for 12+ weeks and then was able to go back to easy walking, etc. Just as you described. She did not gain any weight either... she is "softer" but her clothes fit exactly the same.

If you can't exercise for some reason for a few weeks or months... you will not automatically gain weight. You may "go to fat" a little... but don't have to gain lbs.

Excellent job!!
