This is the last weekend in September. It's now officially fall, according to the calendar but our weather forecast shows soaring temperatures here. Should make the 5K interesting. It is in San Francisco, along the water, at 9 a.m., so I don't think I'll be collapsing from the heat -- still, may be warmer than I'm used to.
The biggest potential downfall I know of at this point is a "Dine and Donate" fundraiser for school at a local frozen yogurt parlor. I will treat myself, but plan for the extra calories.
What are you doing this weekend? Do you need a plan to deal with it?
Sorry that I have not been as regular a poster in these threads as I'd intended, but my schedule has been pretty crazy...I'm up to 5 ongoing volunteer jobs and 1 more that recurs ow and then but not often, plus have had a lot of social stuff going on.
Anyway, I do believe that, as a result of this challenge, I have turned a corner on eating sweets after lunch. I won't say that the urge is completely gone, but I am able to sub fruit most of the time and sometimes I just don't get the urge. This is a great step for me.
The after dinner sweet is another challenge all together. LOL
I did not do as well as I'd hoped with getting dinner in earlier so that I could not eat anyting after 8 p.m. but I've been trying to get closer to it.

I ran my 2nd of 3 half marathons for the year Saturday. I took 2 min. off of last year's time and am thrilled. Sunday was a yoga day to see if I could convince my legs that they don't hurt as much as they think they do. Except for my IT bands, I was successful.
I was well behaved where food is concerned all weekend, although I'm still struggling with slowing down.
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
