Well, I started a new diet a couple of months back. I have lost 12 lbs. As usual kids get sick; family calls. Can't get into the gym. It makes me depressed and I fall off the wagon. So I am trying to post goals because I am struggling to get going again.
I am going to try to write down what I am eating in a diary. I am also going to do some prepping of food ahead of time. I was doing that. I did fine. I also want to try to eat one salad a day again.
I did fine with sweets for a while brought in pudding to have on hand for counteracting all the ice cream that gets brought in. (not by me) It worked until my DM bought girl scout cookies. It is wrong when you start praying that your mother will stay sick with a cold or just way to busy to notice the girl scouts selling cookies at the grocery store.
Anyway I'm not sure if I needed the goals or the whining more. Michelle
Hey Michelle- I feel your pain! I was doing great too. Eating well, going to the gym and then as soon as life got crazy I was back to my bad habits. Prepping food/menu planning/grocery shopping once a week is huge for me and I just need to do it.
I'm rooting for you-you can do this!!

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.

Sometimes we need both .
I don't follow any particular "diet plan". I know that my Resting Metabolic Rate (everybody is different) is a little over 1600 calories so I just log my food intake on Fitday and try to keep it between 1300 and 1500. It give me greater flexibility than trying to stay on a fixed "plan" created by someone else.
The most time consuming thing about Fitday has been getting the food I eat on a regular basis entered as "Custom Food". After that it is only a matter of a few seconds to click this, this and this on the custom foods list to log my meals and or snacks.
When I have time, I also log my "activities". Some are intentional exercise and some are not but it all adds up.
Put the Girl Scout cookies in the back of the freezer. Out of sight, out of mind and in the midst of this summer's heat you will have a cookies for a nice snack when no one else does.
