Got A Goal?

Where do you want to be August 1st?

You have 3 weeks to get there, improve your health and feel great about yourself.

What goal do you want to reach by August 1st? Be VERY specific. Don't say you want to eat more veggies. Think about how many times per week you will committ to eating a serving of veggies.

Now... what is your plan to get you there? Again, be specific. It works to plan, plan, plan in detailed ways. (I know, I used this to get to my goal range.)

I will go first. I have been teetering at the top of my goal range and I have been wanting to lose 2-3 pounds so that I have more of a comfort zone. By August 1, I want to be BELOW 126. This means I will have to lose 1 pound. (I will work on another pound or two in August. I go slow with weight loss.)
My plan is to cut down on my cheese. I have been letting it creep up and using it as my protein too frequently. Once per day is my maximun. I will also use lf 3 times per week. My guess is that the extra fat and salt in the cheese are the biggest contributors here. I also have a plan to walk the next 3 days. This summer my exercise has fallen off a bit as dd is off of school and we seem busy with all the "fun" stuff. After these 3 days of exercise, I will post further about my plan.

I want to have more healthy foods in my life..different ones. I want to love experimenting with food and most of all, not being scared it'll make me gain weight. I want to be regularly exercising, and doing it without even thinking it'll be a lot of effort,,but enjoying it..and doing it with joy.

I want to lose 5 lbs by then..it's a start..and to be going to the gym at least 3 times a week.

I plan to pack my backpack and just go. I have a full weekend, so I'll do my bike at home, but on Tuesday, when I can afford the new runners, I shall be at the gym!!

When I'm exercising, the food tends to fall in place. Well, Lori, Cate and I have all been relaxing on the lazy train.

You can count me on that train too...but more for the survival of the last few weeks of job uncertainty and now adjustment to the new job phase.

My goal is to get my exercise back on track. I'm shooting for 4-5 days with this week (I track from Wednesday to Tuesday) with 2 days of weights/strength training.

My goal is to get back on the veggie wagon. I have fallen down lately in making sure I get all 5 servings.

I've also fallen ON the ice cream wagon. I will measure my ice cream and make sure that I only have 1/2 cup serving.

The first of August I will be going to England. This will be some good workable goals.

I could tell a teacher was giving this homework. It's well thought out, Sandy.

My goal is to go to the Y on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. and do bike and lower body stuff. Push ups on M, W, F.

We are going on vacation August 7th. I also plan on skimming off of 25-100 cals a day M-F between now and then, because I'd like to leave for vacation with some wiggle room (in my jeans and shorts!)

I need to start running more in training for the relay marathon this fall. I want to increase my speed so I have some work to do.
My goal for the next couple of weeks is to start running 3 days/week with one long run every weekend.

My goal is to lose 3-6 more pounds. I have 8 more pounds of baby weight left to go until I'm my prepregnancy weight but 3-6 seems like a good goal for 3 more weeks. I'm going to the beach the middle of August so that is good incentive:-) I also plan to only eat out once a week. I will try to exercise at least 6 days a week.

Starting tomorrow Sat. July 9 my goal will be to do some walking every day even if it is just to walk to the end of the driveway & back and post it. I still don't go very far from home alone so my mall walking is pretty much limited to weekends with dd. I can't walk the streets of the neighborhood because there are too many hills & can't handle that right now.
I have a new pedometer that records steps & areobic steps and stores the numbers for 7 days. If I post my steps weekly I will not be as likely to put it off. Once I know how many steps that is I can walk that many steps (or more) inside if it rains.

When I'm exercising, the food tends to fall in place. Well, Lori, Cate and I have all been relaxing on the lazy train.

I'm going to start by getting up tomorrow and Sunday morning and going for a run/walk before breakfast.

I'm leaving town again on Sunday and won't know my access to a gym. I will bring my gym clothes and try to get in 1 30 minute walk in each city, if not a trip to a fitness center.

My goal by Aug 1 is to be getting up 75 minutes before I need to leave, so I have time for exercise in the morning.

To get into a real exercise plan. I've been getting some just tromping up and down stairs...but with no tv and no tivo I haven't been as good about exercising as I need to be.

If I get a doggie that will also help.

Great homework Sandy. Yes, I'm up and at 'em early this morning (I'm always up early, just not usually on the computer this early....I'm still trying to wake up, and I just can't face the housework that needs to be done quite yet Smiler).

My goal for August 1 is to be back in the full swing of exercise. I have been lazy....I'm not going to sugar coat it here, that's what it's been....lazy, for the past 3 weeks and haven't exercised except for once or twice, and I haven' checked in with my accountability partner in that amount of time either. (The good news is that I haven't gained any weight...been sticking right at 150). SO, my plan in such.... start checking in with my accountability partner TODAY, and let's see...today is Friday, and I have a very full day today, so I can honestly say that the exercise isn't going to happen today, so for this week, I will get up early tomorrow morning and exercise tomorrow morning. Next week, I will get off my lazy behind and do my regular workouts at LEAST 3 days a week, right now I'm committing to M, W, F. If I get more in, GREAT, if not, at least I'm getting those three. I will post the rest of my plan after I get those 3 steps accomplished.

Blessings,

Lori

Re-committing myself to a healthy lifestyle that will include regular (and increasing) exercise, and following the baby steps rule on food. 6/17/08
