So far I have had a clean day. Dinner is bit later, but is prepped and in the fridge, ready to take to the pool. I even preportioned everything- this makes it easy for me to stay on plan.
But... I am thinking about adding 1 c whipped cream- the real stuff- and some black raspberries. The berries are growing like mad in the back of our yard. I love them. I bought the good cream- the Organic Valley stuff. I am not crazed about having it, but would like it. I KNOW that I will not simply have 1 T of whipped cream. I always need to triple dip, at least. So, as I type, I have decided not to have any. The berries are still coming strong. If I really want them with cream on Sunday, I will go for it. Tomorrow I will eat them as my AM fruit. The thing is...I want to reach my Aug. 1 goal more than I want the cream and berries. It is great to have this forum. I love it when I am more assertive than reactive with food.

HA, HA, HA! This is the funniest thing I've read all day.
P.S. It was so good for me to post this internal dialoge. I have them ALL the time. Shedding the light of day on thoughts, actions, whatever is helpful for me.

Yep... seemed like a great compromise to me!
Ya know... people would see you and think, "Wow!!! She has incredible will power!" or "Sandy just must be so health concious that she just perfers her berries plain with no cream." Most people don't hear (or see) the internal debate... Should I? Shouldn't I? Can I have both my goal and eat a cup of whipped cream? Can I rationalize it... since is is organic cream and "healthy"? Probably not... Which do I want more - the goal or the cream? How much do I want it?
Thanks for posting this!

Here's how it went. I made 2 containers of cream and berries- one for dd and one for dh. Dh ate his. Dd ate all but 2 bites of hers. She was full. She offered it to me. I ate it. Seemed ok. Not perfection, but not a cup of whipped cream either- more like 2 T and some berries. At least I am not wanting and thinking about berries and cream any longer. Perhaps this saved me 300 calories on Sunday.
Way to go, Sandy! I'm impressed with your resolve!
