So far I am good and had my planned breakfast. I have to say that it was a relief to eat well after such an off day yesterday--- I feel so much better when my food is good--- I am sensitive that way.
I am starting some prep for the meal later, but generally relaxing. dh just went to get the paper...
Are the chocolate eggs calling your name? Are you talking back?
I came out of Easter with 1 # of water weight gain. I pretty much stayed right on track with the rest of my calories, although a very high percentage of my protein came in the form of salted mixed nuts. Gee, I wonder where the water weight came from...
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
I had a few too many cookies late in the day, but made up for it by (not good) not having any breakfast or lunch. In the AM, I keep my metabolism up with massive quantities of coffee.
My day has been good. My whole Easter has been good. So this isn't really a confession...
Breakfast: tea, whole-grain bun with turkey and cheese, banana Lunch: leftover chicken with pasta, huge green salad, steamed veggies. One After Eight. Snack: tea Dinner: Steak and veggies. Passed on the fries. Red wine. Didn't pass on that.
Only five more After Eights left.

Yesterday was a great day! Spent the morning at church and then the afternoon and early evening with friends (we left the house at 7:50 am and didn't get home until 6:15 pm....poor doggy had to go potty when we got home!!!!). Anyhow, food was good, company was good, the day was (for the most part) relaxing and restful.....just what I expect of an Easter Sunday!
What I ate:
breakfast: 1 slice ww toast with 2 tsp. almond butter 1/6th of 2 whole eggs and 6 egg whites scrambled together 1/2 cup. fresh sliced strawberries and fresh pineapple
Lunch: 4-5 oz. steak with a little steak sauce (maybe a tsp?) 1/2 cup (approx.) potato salad made with light mayo 2 cups green salad with 3 spritzes of the Wish Bone Spritzer dressing....just bought some this weekend, and LOVE IT!!!!!! 1 cup steamed asparagus 1 mini Reese's pb cup 1 small scoop vanilla ice cream with 1 cup sliced strawberries
Dinner: 4 oz (before grilling) hamburger on ww bun with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion 1/2 cup leftover potato salad 1/2 cup leftover asparagus spritzed with dressing
Blessings,
Lori

Had a lovely day with family. Went to church and helped my 92 year old great aunt...she is a riot!
I had more food than I normally eat, but not as much as I used to eat at a Holiday dinner!! I always tell myself that it's better than it used to be and today was no exception.
Way to go to those of you who exercised today...I'm super impressed
Kat
Goal: Exercise at least 3 times per week.

Had a bowl of cereal, worked out with my trainer for an hour (and she showed me how to use the elliptical machine); came home and did laundry and took a nap. Now I'm making a whole-wheat pasta bake and foccacia bread; we're playing some games on the Wii (which requires you to move around) while everyone waits for the pasta to finish cooking. We'll have salad with the pasta, a good wine, and maybe some fruit with whipped cream for dessert--or maybe just another glass of wine Depends on how many people end up "stopping over"...
Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.

I just got up, let the dogs out, fed the dogs and now it's my turn. So far the day is good, and well it should be. Hope all is well with others here.
Oh, Thankfully, there are no chocolate bunnies here, no jelly beans, no peeps, no candy that isn't totally okay for me to eat...meaning diabetically and pt wise. It helps (?) to not HAVE to have those things in the house for kids.
It's never too late to get it right.
