I was home sick yesterday and realized that I believe last month was my 4-year anniversary of finding KD's "Cooking Thin" on the Food Network and I think this month is my 4-year anniversary of being on the board (well "boards"--since some of us started out on the Food Network KD fan board and then came here when KD opened her own website and board).
I was thinking about how much KD's philosophy and the CT family here on the board has enhanced my life in the past four years. It's hard to even remember my life before KD and before you guys. Probably because I don't WANT to remember it--it was SO unhealthy!
Anyhow, I just wanted to say thank you to KD for providing this website, this board for and providing such great guidance through her posts here and through her books and TV shows. And I wanted to thank all of the forum members, especially those who have been here through most of my almost 4-year journey, for your support and hugs, your kicks in the pants and the incredible sharing of information about every possible aspect of weight loss, cooking, exercise and eating behavior.
I have learned SO much. Thank you.
And when was/is YOUR KD Anniversary?

Wow! I can't believe how time has flown! I have been around also for close to 4 years as well. It is here I experienced my 65 pound weight loss (before the pregnancy and tornado). I have learned so much from everyone here, and because the information here is COMMON SENSE and HEALTHY for your body, I know I can loose the weight I've regained and I have the tools I need to grow stronger physically and live a healthier life. We've complained, cried out, supported, laughed, and rejoiced together. I sometimes feel like the "wayward child" of the bunch, but I am still so happy to be a part of our CT family. Sheri, you have inspired me on several occasions and I have been so proud of you and your positive influence here and in your workplace over the years. You have helped so many people. I am glad to know you.

We need to have a party, it appears that there are many of us who joined in March 2004. My anniversary of being here on the boards is shortly after Sheri's. How exciting and how much we have learned since those days. It has been a very roller coaster ride for me, because it was shortly after that that I learned I had diabetes. And a year later that I had arthritis. WE have been through births, deaths, movings, growings, marriages, kids, etc. And yet in the beginning we have stuck by each other and learned much Happy Anniversary all!
It's never too late to get it right.

I joined the FN board back in February (early February....4th? 5th? 6th?....somewhere in there ) of 2003. There were a bunch of us that are still active on the board that joined around that time....
Blessings,
Lori

In 2001 I was still confined to my house due to my bone marrow transplant (Nov 2000) and was spending all of my time watching FN while I was either in the bed or at the dining room table doing paint by number pictures. Cooking Thin was on 2001, 2002, & 2003. After that it was all re-runs but I still watched it and recorded all the shows. I don't remember when or how I discovered that FN had message boards (probably from KD )but I was on them a long time and then came here when KD started this board.

Congrats Sheri and Dawn. I am not usre exactly how long it has been for me. I think I have been here (fn boards previously about 3-4 years too.) Time flies!
You've all enhanced my life too. Thanks for being here.
And I have been maintaining a healhty, wonderful weight for some time now. This board helped me to lost 12 pounds I gained and to keep it off.
We must have started around the same time, because I remember it was around St. Patrick's day 4 years ago.
I had just moved to Atlanta and wasn't working and then was only working part-time. So, I was watching Food Network a lot and had gotten involved on the message boards there.
In another topic area, someone had mentioned Cooking Thin and I checked it out and have been around since then.
I lost about 15 lbs. that spring. I have gained it all back and possibly a little more, but I keep trying.
