Dawn, sounds delicious! Sesame oil and green onions sound like perfect finishing touches.
Tonight I'm making "Gyu tataki": Take a lean cut of beef (I'm doing filet mignon), sear it so that it's very rare inside, then refrigerate it and slice it thin like roast beef. Dip this in a Japanese ponzu sauce (soy and citrus) or any gingery citrusy Benihana type dipping sauce.
We'll have this with spring greens salad, barley rice (add 1/4 pressed barley to rice) and miso soup with enoki mushrooms.
Appetizer will be clams steamed in sake.
Yummy!

I made a soup w/bok choi and potstickers at your suggestions. I only added green onions, a little soy sauce and a small drizzle of dark sesame oil, and it was delicious! Thanks for the idea. Also a great meal for starting to eat "real" food again.

We had baked grouper with ginger pesto and pine nuts. I topped it with Carbwise bread crumbs, 4c makes them. I think I will stick to regular bread crumbs, they were kind of crunchy and bland. We also had Rappini with garlic and lemon juice and Pasta Paseli (orzo with peas and garlic). Most Yummy!!
