I think I fall into the same category as you Denise. I don't buy all that much processed food, so even if I am getting some HFCS, it isn't enough for me to go out of my way to avoid it.

If you do have a lot of HFCS in your diet, it is most likely from a lot of highly proecessed food, and the HFCS is probably one of the least of your worries. (Or rather, should be...) as you are most likely consuming a lot of saturated and transfat, sodium and chemicals I can't even pronounce.

I buy 100% whole wheat hamburger buns with HFCS... because I'd either have to make my own or drive 90 mins to Whole Foods (where I'm GUESSING that they might have ww buns with no HFCS) My personal bias is that on the evil continuum... white bread is more evil than whole wheat with a little HFCS... but I eat *some* white flour products, too.

One time I went thru ALL of my pantry, fridge and freezer... and ALL of my mil's looking for HFCS... and it really isn't in EVERYTHING. I found it in 3 items in my whole kitchen (fake maple syrup, sweet pickle relish and the buns). And in one bottle of salad dressing in my mil's fridge. So in our two kitchens... it was in 4 bottles. And neither of us was specifically trying to avoid it.

It wasn't in the froz vegs, or the canned beans, the whole wheat spegetti, chicken breasts, salmon, etc, etc, etc.

If you don't buy a lot of processed foods... or sugar soda... you really aren't going to buy a LOT of products with HFCS.

Ditto.
