Yesterday was the first day of my concentrated, focused effort to break this stupid 4lb merry-go-round I have been on between 203 & 207 since Nov or Dec of last year.
Fitday says I burned 1000 more calories than I consumed yesterday.

I went back thru last year's fitdays to find what I was eating when I was losing & picked 5 menus from that time. I will have the same thing for breakfast & lunch every day but for dinner I will alternate between salmon, a kd burger (probably buffalo since it has the best #'s), chicken, tilapia, & a totally veggie night. The nights I have meat or fish I will have veggie & brown rice sides. I have planned for 3 snacks but may not eat that many every day. Today dd started getting her meals from "Good Measure Meals" so I only have to cook for myself.

----------
From Jill "Weren't you not able to do much physically for a while from being sick?"
----------

Yes. For a long time my blood counts were so low that I had no energy, strength, or stamina. I would get out of breath just walking across a room because while my lungs were working fine, there just were not enough red blood cells to carry the oxygen from my lungs to the rest of my body. My counts are now in the "normal" range but just barely. For example: "normal numbers" for red blood cells are 2-4 and I am currenly at 2.1. My white count is also just barely over the line into normal and my platelets (blood clotting factor) are still way below that of a normal person. I still get very out of breath on hills and stairs and for some reason I get very out of breath if I try to walk immediately after eating (even just a light snack).

I am trying to walk at least 1 mile every day & hopefully more if I can get to the y (& stay long enough) I went twice yesterday and would have done another 2 miles (for a total of 4) if I had not run out of time and I am also trained on some of the strength machines at the Y. I am still going to Curves and I am still square dancing 2 1/2 hours on Sunday. I can square dance because it is not continuous, sometimes 2 couples are just standing there while the other two are doing something & that gives me a chance to catch my breath.

For accountability I plan to post my calories in and calories out from fitday and how many miles I walked every day.

According to Fitday.
Calories consumed: 1598
Calories burned: 2604

Y - walked 2miles
Curves for 30 min.
Y - walked 1.5 miles

I agree that you have a great plan Judy. The extra level of accountability can really work wonders.

I think that you outlined a GREAT plan. And whoa!!! I remember when a walk down your driveway was a "long" walk.

Go, Judy Go! You can do it.

I am right there with you. I have been losing and gaining the same 5 pounds since Christmas. ARGH! And you are right, it's time to get back on track. Thanks for the reminder.
