Hi everyone. Earlier this week my husband referred to this site being one of my support system.

I have continuted to think of that, but thought what if we had virtual meetings once a week. I know how much the FLYing has helped me, but to have that time of the week to vent or come up with new ideas would help me too.

I am thinking Tuesday afternoons. How does that sound to everyone? We can also brainstorm different topics.

Thanks for listening.

Wondering how it went?

I would like to join you all after school releases. Now is too busy a time, but I love the idea of offering and gaining support in this way.

I should be around this tomorrow as long as the inlaws don't come up with last minute plans.

Have an idea of what time you wanted to try for tomorrow afternoon? I would vote for something later like 4 p.m. Eastern myself.

Jill,

THat is a wonderful time. I will be willing to start/lead the first one. Would anyone care to meet tomorrow afternoon? Depending on the week, we can change the day if everyone is ok with that.

Steph(and others interested in this weekly chat),
I was thinking maybe each week there could be someone who is planning on participating in the chat as "the leader", kind of like at a WW meeting. When I went to WW, the leader always shared a new recipe, had an inspirational thought for the week, and there was always a "theme". Maybe this is how all WW meetings are conducted, I don't know, I've always had the same person but thought it might be fun to give it a try.

Most Friday evenings would work for me too Sheri. There are some Fridays we have plans, but more often than not, I'm at home trying ot unwind.

I also am interested, but afternoons are out. All IMs are blocked at my office, and I'm usually really busy at work.

Steph, for my part, I would prefer not to have 2 evenings in a row where I am committed to chatting (Monday being the flychat). Actually the best for me, but probably not for most folks, would be Friday evening, but I could do Wednesdays too as long as it started no later than 7-7:30 p.m. Thursdays would be fine with me too; I'd just have to miss 1 a month when I have my hair appointments.

Cathy: I'm not Steph, but I got the impression that these weekly support meetings are for everyone and are separate from the flychats. These meetings would be focused on eating & exercise issues, I think.

So perhaps people who were not interested in FLYing but are interested in this kind of support could participate in this!

P.S. If you need help with how to use AIM chat, use the Find feature to search "Weekly flychat" and I have all the directions listed out there.

I'd love to participate, but need some info on how to get FLYing. I am sure if I don't know, there are others who are confused. Is this open to all or only the FLY people who have been doing this fo r so long. It sounds like a great idea. Let me and others know the details of HOW to get involved.

I would be available some Tuesday afternoons during the summer, but for the rest of the school year I am not able to make it.

Wish I could join you, as I think it's a wonderful idea, but of course I am at work on Tuesday afternoons so wouldn't be able to join you.

I may be able to pop in for a few minutes to say hi from work now and then if I'm not too busy (unless they've blocked AIM again at work), but definitely not for the whole chat. Because I'm off on Mondays, Tuesdays tend to be my busiest day of the week trying to play catch up.
