I bought two gallons of milk yesterday. This brand of milk is about $3 for one gallon and $4 for TWO gallons. I'm sort of making these prices up... but buying two containers of this brand is WAY cheaper than buying one... and I don't always look at the price... because I buy two gallons every week no matter what.
Anyway, the regular milk label has been moved and replaced with a sticker (which doesn't come off) which is an ad for Milano Cookies.
They have this sticker strategically placed so that when right handed people pick up the milk jug by the handle, the stupid cookie ad is right in front of our faces.
The nutrition label USED to be in this spot and is now on another side of the container.
Even Nelson noticed the ad.
I suppose that if I owned a company, I'd think it smart to sell advertising on the side of this billboard of a milk jug.
But it irks me to no end that I try and keep a clean pantry/fridge and have to look at pictures of cookies every time I open the fridge - unless I purposely put the jugs in there with the handles at some weird angle AND become the milk jug police and insist that my family start using their left hands when touching the milk cartons (which isn't going to happen).
But, I won't be buy Pepperidge Farm products anytime soon... not that I did lately anyway.
Thanks for the vent. At I'm more mad and it reduces the effectiveness of their ad campaign.

Dh brought home a gallon of milk with the same advertising on it last night. I am looking for stickers to cover it up with. I hope the organic milk companies don't start advertising like that too! He grabbed regular ole 2% instead of our normal organic milk.
Oh, Denise, that is frustrating! I would definitely call the company and complain. But in the meantime, until they change the labeling, what I do with offensive labeling on products is I glue a plain piece of paper over it. I do have 2 items that I purchase that have offensive (to me) labeling, and I glue a piece of paper over it.
Blessings,
Lori
