Exactly. "Within normal range." Fine. Now what do I do with it, and with all the rest? The goal being health, not BMI numbers.

Okay, okay. I admit to being pleased. I wouldn't have put it out here otherwise. Wink

CONGRATULATIONS PUCK!!!!! That's terrific!

Is it maintenance time now?

Big congrats from me too! That is wonderful! Great work!

Glad to hear that you are home safe and sound.

Bummer about the flat but you are definitely right about being lucky that you weren't driving when it happened!

Just a quick note to say "I'm home at last!" Smiler Had a flat tire on the road yesterday. Out in the middle of nowhere of course. God blessed me with having a flat in a parking lot vs. on I-68 going 70 MPH, so I can't complain too much.

Hope you are all doing well. Have a great Thanksgiving!

So glad to hear that your mom's surgery went well and she's finally starting to be a bit more independent.

Sheri, that is really good to hear.

Hi everyone. Mom came through the surgery fine, but it knocked her back a lot harder than she or I ever expected. She just yesterday, 1 week to the day of her surgery, finally got dressed and left the house to have lunch with some cousins I'd arranged to meet up with.

My baby brother came from Indiana for most of last week but left on Sunday. Since then, Mom & I have done surprisingly well (finding wood to knock on right now! hehe).

Now that MOm is up and around, I am planning to head home on Monday, which will be 2 weeks to the day since I left home in Delaware and started the drive up to Ohio. As before, I will take 2 days going home, which is esp. important since I have THe LIttle Miss (my dog Missy) with me this trip.

It will feel SO good to be back in my own home and definitely back in my own bed! My mother is as BO (FlyLady term for someone who keeps a neat-to-the-point-of-obsession house) as I am SHE (FlyLady term for someone who does NOT keep a very neat house) so that has been trying.

Look forward to getting caught up with all the posts when I get home. I see y'all are having a challenge, which is great! I'll probably hop on the bandwagon when I get home and am more in control of what I buy, cook and eat. Smiler

Safe travels and best wishes for you and your mom.

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.

Good luck! Walks are good in so many ways! Wink

I have had 3 friends whose parents have had this procedure. All of them said it was less bad then they thought it would be. Recovery times were shorter than anticipated. I am sending all my best that this is the case w/ your mom.

I can't remember if I've already posted about this or not, but I'm leaving Monday the 9th for Ohio. My mother is having surgery to remove a blockage from her carotid artery on the 11th. Since she isn't allowed to drive for 2 weeks after the surgery, I'll probably be there through the weekend of the 21st.

Your prayers are appreciated not only for my mother's health, but for patience, since the last time she and I spent 2 weeks in the same house, I was 12, and we usually have a shelf life of 4-5 days before things go boom, so much patience is going to be required on both sides.

Thanks.
Sheri
