Ok. Everybody ready? If you haven't been around for long here's the scoop. Some are doing 15 push ups, sit ups, pull ups, crunches, 15/10ths of a mile walk, jog, or run, or maybe even just 15 minutes of any type of exercise or physical activity. This is just a place for personal accountability and support. Some are much more advanced and show up to keep accountable and offer tips and support. Whatever level you are at, we are here for each other. So what are your exercise goals this week?

Friday I went to the gym and did 30 min on the treadmill - 15mm @ 2% grade, plus lat pull downs and crunches.

Saturday and Sunday were a lost cause.

After the tow truck came and went, I started on dinner. Didn't feel like heading back out to go to the gym. However, I did 3 different dumbells exercises while the corn bread was in the oven.

How is everyone doing this week? Although I wanted to go to water aerobics 3x this week, I decided not to go this morning. I am going to make a list of household chores to accomplish hopefully by tomorrow around lunch time. I want to wash baseboards, door frames, windows inside and out, several loads of laundry, and some general normal cleaning too. The tv will stay off while I am working!!!!!!! I want to accomplish as much as I can today and leave the little stuff for tomorrow. I'm starting by making a list!!! I've let myself become very disorganized since my move and its time to get back on track before this baby comes. I'm also going to find my dumbbells and put them in the room I watch tv at night. Something new to add for me.

Weather continued to deteriorate yesterday, ending with rain all night. When I got home, I did the bare minimum ... 10 pushups, 20 crunches.

Today is supposed to be a gym day. However, thanks to all that rain, I spent the morning doing a little impromptu and unsuccessful 4 wheeling in our culvert.

After I spent 30 minutes in the ditch hooking up the towstrap, etc etc. My GF gave me a ride to work, and will drive me home afterwards (whereas the plan was to drive to the gym after work).

Soooo... maybe, after the tow truck pulls my rig out of the ditch, I'll still be motivated to get to the gym. That's a big maybe.

On my christmas list : super swampers.

Wed. water aerobics done! Pregnancy beginning to affect my workout though. While doing the jumping jack I had to hold and support my stomach because all my extra fat bouncing around my little baby was too much pressure, so I had to tone it down a little today.

Boy is my treadmill in the den looking dusty!

Tuesday, DONE:
  • 40 min walking (and a lil jogging thrown in)
    @ 18-20 min mi, 5% grade
  • Biceps, 30x @ 30lbs
  • Crunches, 20x @ 50lbs
The plan for this blustery grey Wednesday is to pick 5-6 dumbell moves to do when I get home.

If the wind dies down, I'd like to do a walk during my break at work.

According to my pedometer, today's mowing of the front yard was equivalent to 1.7 miles of walking.

Well, I didn't do a second 10 min walk. But I did two laps after work = 1/2mi. Nix on the dumbells. My arms and shoulders were still too sore. Durn throw-ins.

Still pretty sore. Think I strained my right quad, arms feel like lead, calves are tight.

I'm going to aim for 30 min walking on the treadmill, 20 crunches, and some weights for whatever hurts the least -- like maybe forearms.

I hauled my butt to the gym this morning for the first time in a couple of months. I only had time for 1 mile walking on the treadmill, but that's one mile more than I've made time to do in a long time! My goal is to go tomorrow and do some strength training.

According to my pedometer, raking/mowing the Shetland Sheepdog's portion of the back yard was equivalent to walking 1.5 miles. It seems like more than that. Smiler

I did my 50 crunches this morning and walked for 15 minutes. I'll be back later this week and put in how I did.

Sunday, I played two soccer games (the first of the season), forgot to stretch ... man am I sore!

Today (Monday) I'll be taking it easy. I walked for about 10 minutes during my break. If the weather's good, I might go out for another 10.

And I'd like to do 1/4 mi on the track after work. Perhaps some upper body dumbells stuff at home, but I'm not gonna count on it.

Tuesday will be a gym day. I have to see how I feel before I set any goals.
