Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. The river is receding, but storms are approaching, so not out of danger yet.
Thanks Kat for your update. So glad that the crops weren't damaged....I remember back in the early 70s when I was little, them losing the winter crop to some major storming and how devastating it was to my family and all of the other farmers in the area.
Blessings,
Lori

Haven't been on lately since I have been doing conferences...thank goodness that is over They went fairly well...only one strange one!
The river has gone down and all is okay at the moment. Seems like it will be an on-going thing most of the winter. We are having lots of wind now, but we haven't lost our power yet.
Thanks for thinking of me and checking in on me...you are all the best!!!

Goals: 1. Stop thinking like a chronic dieter and start living to inspire. 2. HALT (hungry, anxious, lonely, tired) I will stop and tune in with myself should I experience these things, and respond with something healthy. 3. One word 2008: courage 4. Eat slow and mindfully.
Funny I just read yours and looked to see where you were! I live in Graham, WA and had to stay home that Tuesday because of HWY 410 flooding. Wasn't going to take my 4yr old and 10 month old in that. My boss gave me a hard time but to get out I'd have to cross too many flood areas in Orting. Sorry so late seeing this. I feel your pain with it! We also lost power Wed. ( my b-day!) for over 12 hours. Running around in the dark looking for my kids!

Still praying for you and for my family.....I know that they probably haven't harvested yet (if memory serves me correctly, they usually harvest around Thanksgiving time?), so praying for no major crop damage for them and all the other farmers in your valley.
So glad that things are not as bad as originally predicted!
Blessings,
Lori

Lori.... Yes, that would be the river that runs by the Deyo farms.
Things have settled down some, so no evacuations yet. I am off work today because of flooding issues in my school district. DH is off too since his school bus routes are all in the flood zone.
It is still raining and the river should crest by 4pm today. Last night the worst predictions ever were being stated and now things are not as bad as they have been. New technology can sure put the fear in you!
