Homework, Tuesday Dec. 6

I have been thinking about what I would type for today's homework for the past few days. This got me thinking about all the posts and recent homework assignments. The Holiday season seems to be filled with such stress and anxiety.

Today I would like for us to take time for ourselves. If you think you are too busy (like I do) put your timer on for 15 minutes and sit down with a cup of tea/coffee/water and reflect about the past homeworks and the goals that you have set for yourself. Are you still ok with them? Do you need to make some adjustments?

Here is a look at the past few homework assignments:

- set a 5 day goal, a little goal to reach a big milestone.
- set realistic goals to keep us healthy this month.
- Tips on keeping some normality in your life at this time of year.
- Healthy Holiday giving.
- Take the time to think about what you love about the holidays and relax and enjoy them
- Fighting perfectionism monster.

Feel free to post your goal updates or thoughts here.

Have a great day!

Enjoy every minute!

Jennifer

Goals for April: Exercise 3 times a week. Drink more water everyday.

Long Term Goal: Weigh-in at 180 lbs by my next Birthday. (Sept-13/06)

Without fail everyday, I have an hour to myself. It may be at 12:00 midnight, but I get it. I have a journal I am writing in now on "Daughters and Mothers", this is something I really enjoy and have benefitted from much in the last year. That hour spent relaxes and rejuevnates me, gives me perspective on what is important in my life...it's well worth the time.

It's never too late to get it right.

I try, I really do, to take some time and "relax". I used to be great at it, laying on the couch for hours doing nothing but staring at the tv. Now, I find it hard to sit still for 5 minutes. When I am sitting and reflecting or just relaxing I am thinking about what I should be doing. Does anyone meditate? I would love to learn some techniques for "shutting out" my thoughts and just focusing on relaxation and reflection.
Jill

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.
