September Challenge, Anyone?

So who's up for a challenge in September? Sounds like many of us could use a little motivation boost, or a reason to check in on the board more often. Maybe a back-to-school, strengthen-our-resolve-before-the-holidays, enjoy-the-outdoors-this-fall kind of thing?

For me, there are two major events at the end of September. On Sunday the 26th, I run the Race for the Cure 5K, with a goal of finishing in under 30 minutes. The very next day, I go in for another surgery. (Purely cosmetic this time, but it will still put me out of commission for a little while.) My challenge would be to stick to my running program and stay within my allotted calories for the day.

What would you focus on in September?

OK, I'll add to my challenges remembering to start a challenge thread every day in September! I may have to do it in the evening, because first thing in the morning for me on the west coast is nearly lunch time for many of you. Get ready!

Count me in too. I'm recommitting to sticking to my food plan. Those pesky extras get me!

Yes please! I am trying to be more mindful of what I am eating and working out at least 2 times per week.

Daily to do: Drink plenty of water & take vitamins

I'm in.

I upped my workouts 2 1/2 weeks ago after vacation so I'm good on that front but really need to get back to healthier eating. My goal is to cut back on wine and desserts and up my veggies.

Reducing sweets and increasing exercise (that doesn't involve walking the dog!).
