First let me wish everyone on this board a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and if I don’t get back before the New Year HAVE A VERY HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR
Now on to my question: My dd asked me to make a mint chocolate cheesecake for a desert for Christmas, and after searching tons of them I came across this one:
http://www.recipezaar.com/101492 as it had the ingredients I knew I could find, as some called for liquor, or Crisco (which of the 2, I or dd would ever use again)
Now after reading the recipe on the filling ingredients, bought the bag of Andies mints candies (there were 28 pieces in the bag) as I couldn’t find the other one.
If I am reading this right for the filling the 28 pieces chopped should come to 1 cup
and on the topping ingredients I assume now I need another bag of Andies, (see #13)
does that mean I would use approximately 16 in the topping recipe.
My other thought was rather then running to the store to get more Andies (tired of shopping already) does anyone know if I could use mint extract and how much for the filling.
BTW I will have a very THIN sliver of this
I will be making this Monday, today I am going to make Rugalch
