Wanted to get your ideas. I have 2 watermelons, because they were on sale for $1.98 each. So, I made some watermelon juice with some of it for the 4th. We're having a cookout and I thought it would be something fun and red that the kids could drink that wasn't loaded with refined sugar and artificial dyes.

Anyway...I have some frozen strawberries and was thinking of putting those in instead of ice. But, then I started wondering if I should puree a few strawberries and make it watermelon/strawberry juice? Or just leave it as watermelon juice with strawberries floating in it?

What do you think?

You're not too far off Dawn....I made some KILLER watermelon margaritas last month. They were soooo tasty. Add tequila, grand marnier (although I'm sure another sweet, less expensive liquor could work) and lime juice. Delish!

I added the strawberry juice and boy is it yummy. I told DH, "We could add some rum or tequila to this and it would be really good." Sorry Kids, the adults took over your juice, you can drink water. (hehe, not really.)

I'm not sure I have ice cube trays anymore. Good idea though.

I think the watermelon juice with strawberries floating in it would be fun.
