So today I was all set to be on my plan of going to the gym and getting a nice cardio session in. Luckily, I did and included some weight training. (Even though my inner child wanted to be lazy and stay home.)
As I got in the car and thought about our road trip to the in laws tomorrow I said "I should fill up the car with a full tank of gas". I KNEW by doing that it would add more temptation of fast food on my way home. Part of me almost really gave into it. But, the stronger person came out and said---you have a homemade salad in the fridge just waiting for you.
So I FINALLY made it home---after every fast food chain passed me by---had my salad, made a cup of pasta and called it a day.
I had a BIG conflict with all this. I don't know if it is laziness, holidays, or me wanting to give into temptations.

way to go Steph! the side of you that wants to make healthier decisions is STRONGER!
Goals: 1. Stop thinking like a chronic dieter and start living to inspire. 2. HALT (hungry, anxious, lonely, tired) I will stop and tune in with myself should I experience these things, and respond with something healthy. 3. One word 2008: courage 4. Eat slow and mindfully.
I'd give myself a BIG HUG if I were you, you did the best thing possible for yourself and your baby. YIPEE! Making healthy choices isn't always easy, but doing it sure feels good. Drive carefully.

The important thing is that you did Steph! You stayed on plan and went home anyway. Some days will be harder than others but that's OK. You did it!!!
