I am amazed, not hurt or offended, but the idea of this weekend's homework was NOT particularly to find out what everyone is doing for V day, but to find out what you are doing for your heart. With out your heart healthy, you aren't going to need the chocolate, candies, cards and loving, you are going to be sick, infirmed and possibley six feet under. What are you doing for your heart this month?
Tell us?
It's never too late to get it right.

I'm not doing anything differently for my heart this month, than I try to do for it any other month of the year.
Maybe that is why people responded the way they did. Most of us are trying to be healthy all the time, not just one month out of 12.
We realized the error of our old ways and try everyday to improve on healthy eating and exercise. We may not be 100% every day, but the effort is there.
ADDITIONALLY, if we are truly making the effort every day, one day of having some chocolate, or a heart shaped brownie is not going put us "six feet under". I thought this was supposed to be all about moderation. It is when you eat like that frequently that you get yourself into trouble.
One question you asked is "Are you going to give chocolate to someone else?"
I answered that I was going to give DS a computer game, not in the sense of "this is what I'm doing for V-day", but in the sense that, I'm not giving DH or DS chocolate, candy or goodies, but that I'm giving DS a non-food related treat.

Cathy- my respone to your post was about V day--- and I appreciated the reminder about heart health. Your original hw helped me get to the gym this morning and pump up my cardio.
And... I have been eating less cheese on my salads and more fruit. Way, way, way good for my heart!
