I am so wiped out. Its that TOM and while I was fine yesterday, apart from cramps, today I am exhausted.
I need to go to the farmer's market, and then I am coming home and sleeping. I hate how I literally am drained.
I had to cancel weekend plans with family because of this.
I know its a fact of my life, but still, urrrggghhh. Doesn't make it easier to deal with that once a month, *kapow*.
At least being wheat-free, I recover faster. And the cramps are not as gut-wrenching.
I just needed to vent. The homework also reminded me that one of my first baby steps was actually to work within my limits of the endo. And the way I feel is reinforcing that I need to remember to do that.
I'm sorry you are feeling so whipped. I had mirgranes during the whole time I had periods. They are horrible, there are many days and nights I would tell the ER docs to just cut off my arm, nothing could hurt as bad. BUT, it does come to an end eventually, and will be a bad memory in your life. I promise. Having been at that end of the road of life, I can tell you it is a wonderful thing....but for now, do what you can to make yourself comfortable. Be good to you, relax, and remember your plan for dealing with only what you can handle at the time.
My heart goes out to you.
It's never too late to get it right.

The lack of energy could be the loss of blood causing an iron deficiency (and or the heat). Dd eats a lot of pineapple during tom and says it helps the cramps. It is best to start eating the pineapple about a week ahead of time if you have that much warning.

Cate, My sister has been having this problem, being totally wiped out once a month. Her gyn has recommended a B vitamin supplement(I'm not sure which one) but I can find out. Do you currently take any vitamins, particularly B vitamins?
Hope you are feeling better soon. I'm sure the heat doesn't help. It is much cooler here now but still hot.
Get lots of rest and don't push it-you're body will let you know when it is ready and has had enough resting.
