Well, this week, instead of doing my regular exercise routine I've been spending 1-2 hours out in the backyard working on raking, cleaning out the flower beds, pulling weeds, mowing (with a push mower), sweeping all of the cement (there is quite a bit of it), cleaning furniture, etc. Well, I am very very pleased to announce that after working out there for 2:45 today, I am DONE!!!!!!!!! On Monday I will be back to my regular exercise routine
Blessings,
Lori

Keep up with it. Make it part of your flylady routine to pull weeds for 5 mins a day.
There is a saying, "One year's seeding leads to five years of weeding." Don't let the weeds form seeds that blow all over your yard. I should be having a bumper crop of dandylions for many years to come...
Ditto!
I have always started with the flower beds that I see the most often. Probably not the best way, because I tend to concentrate so much on that one or two beds, that the rest of the yard gets ignored until we have an event, and then I spend over 7 hours in the yard!!!! I STRONGLY suggest spending 5-10 minutes weeding/sweeping each day.....set your timer! For me, I like to go out first thing in the morning, before the kids are up...right after dh leaves for work.
Blessings,
Lori

Sounds like you got some great exercise in! I'm glad you and your yard made it through the spring cleaning.
You've made me realize that I'm going to have my own yard in 2 weeks and I've never done a lick of yard work in my life. DH has never done more than mowing. Where do we start?

We've got about that much weeds, too. LOTS of rain...
It was a TON of weeds.....here where I live we have separate garbage bins for green waste from our regular waste and recycling. Well, I filled two of our green waste cans (they hold 4+ of those 33 gallon trashbags FULL of stuff) plus three 33 Gallon trash bags full of weeds/leaves/dry grass, etc. And today dh is mowing the front yard....I'd like to get the weeds pulled out there, but they aren't horrible, so they can wait until this week....I've got too much to do today.
Blessings,
Lori
