Day 17

I'm having a good day.

We didn't have dessert yesterday, and I wasn't even home for dinner... so we are having dessert for dinner tonight. Plum cobbler and ice cream. Smiler

Also, I'm very happy with my food today (although dessert for dinner helps!)

Oh... and the scale was down and I'm one pound away from being back to my old range. So that doesn't hurt either. Smiler

Yup- I agree that week to week is often more helpful in terms of tracking. It allows for some give and take--- less perfectionism.

Sometimes averaging out the week really helps me. I can usually pull together an average of 250 calories a day and lose 1/2 a pound a week.

Except THIS week... I'm averaging a deficit of 71 calories a day. Will have to see what happens by the end of the week. Smiler

My calories were higher than usual yesterday- at 2590. Last night I got into a mental snit about it, but then I remembered Beck counseling a dieter and figuring out exactly what the "calorie damage" was. My guess that I burned around 2000 calories (I did not plug into fitday) so that I maybe am left with less than a quarter pound gain. No biggie. Plus, I knew the day would be calorie heavy.

Today I am on a more lean plan! I did a 3.5 mile walk this morning and am going to yoga class shortly. My calories are at 1400 and I am at 9% fat. Seems good and doable.
