I just finished mowing the front yard. In practical terms, my pedometer recorded 3,663 steps. If those would have been normal length strides, that would translate to 1.55 miles. In reality, mowing is a short stride affair.

Now, onto the goal of walking 200 miles in my local park reserve. That should keep me busy for a while.

On March 29th, I started walking in my local park reserve:

To date, I have now walked 102.57 miles there.

My average (median) walk was 4.47 miles.

Today's walking was particularly nice. The park was a sea of all manner of trees, bushes, grasses, and wildflowers, being swirled about by strong winds, under a benevolent sky.

I have also logged 26.93 miles of lawn mowing.


Goal: Stop stress snacking.

Well I just started the Summer Session at school and now it has become a habit for my family to sit together on Saturday afternoon after exercising, and plan our healthy menus for the upcoming week, and then our shopping is also planned without bringing pop or chips or any other "junk" into our home and lives. Balancing home, work, and school has been tough at times, but it is working out because I have the energy I need by working out and eating healthy. So far so good! Thanks for listening, your awesome words of encouragement, and your inspiring stories that keep me going on the right track! More later, Kiki Smiler
