I'm on day 18 of being back on the healthy eating wagon. A couple more days and I'm at the 21 days to a new habit threshold : )
I've definitely had my white knuckle days, especially in the beginning but everything seems to be falling back into place and feels more natural.
Over the past 18 days, my average calories come out to be 1280/day. I've been loading up on veggies, fruits and complex carbs and for the most part have been feeling very satisfied.
As a result, I've lost 7 pounds (some of that was water retention from FL). I still have more to go to be back into maintenance but it feels so much more doable than it has all year.
I'm really proud of myself that I got through Halloween and the following week without plunging into the candy jar (we still have lots of candy but it's definitely lost its allure.)
This weekend will be a good test for me though as we're going out to dinner tomorrow and then to a party on Saturday. I have my game plan (posted in another thread earlier in the week) and am confident that all will be fine as I'm must more focused on the experience and the company more than the food.
It also feels nice to have the time to participate on the board a bit more again!

Hi, I am back. Have had a rough time of it-- a LOT of stress at work and I fell back onto eating to calm my nerves. I decided to get back on track and get back to the forum. I have been trying to get the the swimming pool 2-3 times a week... at least 30 minutes. I did discover how much better my stress was relieved after an evening in the pool. So! I just want to get back to a group that understands this struggle.
