Not enough words to say all that needs to be said about this somber anniversary. A good day to count our blessings, hug our loved ones, and remember.

That said, it's still a day in our September challenge. What are you doing today to meet your goals?

Saturday was pretty good and I didn't overeat at the party.

My food day went fairly well. I had a bit higher then normal calories, but I sat for about 90% of what I ate. As someone mentioned a few days ago, I am not doing this perfectly, but I am certainly improved since the challenge started.

I agree- this day will always be tough and somber.

My plan for the day:
E: 3 mile walk, 30 minutes of cardio
B: usual (done)
L: chicken salad wrap
S: yogurt and a peach
D: out at the party - will eat slowly and mindfully and veer towards the healthier items but I have a drink and dessert worked into today.

At least my day will start off well. I'm taking my running group on a "mock half" today along the course that we will be running for real in 2 weeks.

This afternoon it will be pizza and chicken from our family's favorite in honor of my sis & nephew coming in. I'm just hoping to be really, really good. The tough part is that none of my meal times will be normal today, which is not a problem on a normal day. I'm usually extremely hungry on long run days.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
