I just started a new blog on blogger, I'm a little annoyed with myspace, too much access by strange people, I'm not comfortable with it anymore.

I can't figure out how to tell if anyone is looking at the blog or not though.

On blogger I do think you have to have a 'google account' but you just need to do your email. You don't have to have a blog. I have a myspace that I put nothing on---just to read people's private blogs that I know. is that an option for your friend? just do a page so he can read?

Well, the problem is that I have a friend who reads it who doesn't want a myspace account. So if he is going to read it, then I have to leave it public, and then creepy people read it.

You can set up your blog on blogger to do only invited people- you can do that on myspace to I believe.

I don't have a blog but most blogs I visit have a counter on them. I imagine a google search for 'site visit counter blogger' would reveal something. You might also explore BlogHer...it's a web aggregator for blogs written by/about women.
